Who: William T. Spears and Grell Sutcliff
When: Backdated to earlier this evening, around dinner time.
Where: Their flat
Summary: William's got his memory back, and after finding out how he regained it, he has a few things to say to Grell.
Warnings: May escalate from PGish to more of a NSFW rating, so just be forewarned!
[ It would be a severe understatement to say that William merely disapproved of the method Grell had used to revive his memory. A contract, honestly? He probably should have seen this coming. Grell was never one to think things through. Even now, with the deed done, he was trying to convince William that the trade off wasn't that bad at all...
William grumbles something to himself while he stirs up the contents of the frying pan in front of him. Despite all this contract stuff, he'd told Grell they could redo the whole dinner that was completely spoiled due to William coming home and kicking Grell out. He looks to the side where Grell is attempting to complete his half of the cooking. ]
Grell, do not fill the pot up that much. It will just boil over.
[ How this guy managed to feed himself without William there was a mystery. ]

[ He's looking Grell straight in the eye now, his tone dead-serious, as always. ]

You didn't--
[ His words die on his lips. He's silent for a time. And then: ]
Look - you were you, but you weren't the you that I--
[ He looks down, avoiding William's gaze. ]
It made me realise - the only way, the only place that you could possibly love me was here. That if we were home, if we were anywhere else, we'd just...
I had to make the best of things while I could, you know?

[ Vague as ever!
He takes another long sip, closing his eyes and breathing out slowly. There's actually more than just guilt lingering on his mind. Something else, that he has just as little experience with. Nervousness. ]
no subject
What're you saying?
That you shouldn't love me at all?
[ He stands up, knocking his chair backwards. ]
After everything! YOU BRUTE!
no subject
That is not what I said.
no subject
No?
Then what were you saying?
no subject
Sit. I have something for you. It is in the other room, however, so give me a moment.
[ And he walks off towards the bedroom. ]

[ Utterly befuddled, Grell glances after him. And then, for lack of anything better to do, he sits. ]

Another calming breath and he's headed back towards the kitchen. There's quite obviously something being clutched in his right hand. He extends the hand, offering Grell... ]
Here.
[ ...his bright red stiletto boots back. ]
no subject
OOOOoooooooOOOOooooooh~!
My BOOOOOTS!
[ He grabs them, pressing them to his heart! ]
I hope you smacked Eric hard, he deserves it!
no subject
[ Grell's reaction to merely getting his boots back is giving William a little more of a boost in confidence. He calms a bit more, letting Grell hug the boots. ]
no subject
[ Grell gives his beloved boots a final hug; then, setting them aside, he stretches up on tiptoe and presses a light kiss against William's cheek. ]
Thank you, darling. It means a lot to me. That you ~care~.
no subject
Sit. I have something else, as well.
[ He adjusts them again, this time pushing them up the bridge of his nose. ]
And close your eyes. And put your hands out, like this.
[ His hand finally moves away from his glasses to demonstrate. He outstretches his hands, forming them into a bowl shape. ]
no subject
Fidgeting in his chair, he shuts his eyes and begins to extend his hands as instructed-- ]
Ah, Will~?
[ His eyes snap open again, and he half-rises. ]
Are you still angry at me? About the Magical Girl business? Cos I know it was silly, but I couldn't think of anything else, and the opportunity presented itself, and I just--
[ Because all this strange behaviour must mean William is still upset with him, of course! ]
no subject
I did not tell you to look yet.
[ He clears his throat, looking to the side and digesting Grell's words. ]
It was very foolish of you. Beyond foolish.
[ This is proving to be quite difficult for William. Even after opening up to each other so much in the past year, William's struggling. ]
But it is my fault. I drove you to it.
no subject
I...
Yes. You did.
[ Grell's voice is small. His eyes are brimming. He blinks and shuts his eyes; but the tears come. All theatrics have faded; these are genuine tears. ]
You broke my heart.
no subject
Grell, I...
[ He goes quiet. He's second guessing his decision to give Grell his gift. Not because he doesn't want to, it's just that now the timing feels horribly off. As if it would look like he was giving it merely to shut Grell up and get him back into his usual mood. ]
...I'm sorry.
[ For William, those two words are so rare and meaningful on their own. Yet, he can't help but feel as though they are pathetic in comparison to everything that has happened and that they both must be feeling. ]
no subject
Y-you can break my heart a hundred times, a thousand! It's all right.
[ He clasps William's hands, pressing them to his cheek and kissing his fingers. ]
We're together now. That's all that matters.
[ The significance of William's apology is not lost on Grell. He tries to smile, despite his tears. ]
There was... something you wanted to show me?
no subject
I know I have kept you waiting a long time for this...
[ He opens the box, admiring it's contents before turning it so Grell can see. ]
If you will still accept it from me after the way I acted.

[ He reaches for the box, plucking the ring from its cushion. He looks from it to William and back again. ]
Are you seriously asking me...?
no subject
Oh Will~!
DONE
OOOOoooOOOOOOOooooooOOOH YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!
no subject
I assume that is your answer, then?
