The Newcomer Business Convention

Who: EVERYONE EVER. OOC coordination post is over here
When: April 20-23, all day.
Where: Somewhere around the Newcomer Community Center.
Summary: Violet Systems gives Newcomer Businesses a chance to shine at a convention of their own. Exhibitors from all industries, as well as fellow newcomers looking for job opportunities are welcome! Also-- there will be a big MAN protest on Saturday.
Warnings: Nothing yet.

Visitors who stop by the great white tent that had gone up near the Newcomer Community Center will first notice a large LED sign before the entrance with a detailed list of participating exhibitors as well as activities for the day. Inside the tent, booths are arranged in rows, where everything from food businesses to the most sophisticated enterprises were on display for everyone to explore.

Get ready to come home with lots of sample products and brochures, guys.

One of the many booths for businesses as a large neon sign on the top of it, flashing the letters of a corporation many should be familiar with.

VIOLET SYSTEMS

The booth has many of Violet Systems' merchandise around on the tables for people to look at while in the back of the booth sits a rather impressive looking ride. Sitting behind the booth is a rather well dressed orange cat. He smiles as everyone passes. He's wearing a nice dark suit with red tie and fedora on his head. Someone is taking his job at running the booth very seriously. He opens a black notebook and looks inside every now and then, seeming to be looking at a checklist. He can answer any questions you may have.

Tim would come back to the booth every now and again, just to make sure it was all running smoothly. Especially today, since everything seemed to be a little crazier then usual.

Also, he could nap in the back without anyone noticing, and that was awesome.

"Having fun?" He asked, leaning against the side.

Danny nodded with a bright smile and put his notebook away. "Yeah! I like being able to talk to people about our company. It's really fun~"

"You're really good at it," Tim grinned. "Do you do stuff like this back home?"

"Thank you!" Danny beamed at Tim. "Well back home I'm an actor and a singer. But I guess this and that aren't so different, right?"

"Not too much," Tim laughed. "It's a lot like acting, actually. Showing everyone just how much fun it is to work here, stuff like that. Even if the job is a little boring, right?"

Danny chuckled and scratched the back of his head. "I guess so. But I really don't think it's boring. It's fun to talk to new people and help them buy things. At least I think so."

"That's why you're the man... cat... man behind the booth," Tim grinned. "Anyone interested in the zoomers, yet? Just because I have an interest in what people are saying about them."

"Thank you!" Danny laughed at the correction and quickly took out his notebook.

"Some people sure have. They wanted to know how it ran and how fast it went. A few men asked to sit on it but I had to tell them no. It's definitely catching people's eye."

"That's pretty good! I'm not going to be giving up the secret of how it runs, though," Except it wasn't a secret, he was just kidding around. "I wish I knew how to get it to go higher, though. So far we've only gotten it around 6 feet off the ground, at it's highest."

The feline gave a nod and looked back at the ride with a dopey smile. "I really don't know the first thing about stuff like this. I mean, I'm learning thanks to the show room but science was not really my best subject in school."

Minako was working the scene like a regular convention girl, with absolutely no protest to a fair number of costume/clothing changes and having to walk around in less than comfortable shoes for hours on end. She kept a smile on her face through it all, greeting people with polite bows and even taking pictures with people who asked.

Currently she was in a pale blue patterned yukata with her long hair pulled back, and loose sandals that she was actually glad to be wearing. She kept close to the Violet Systems booth as Lee had instructed her to, a matching parasol over her shoulder.
