Who: EVERYONE EVER. OOC coordination post is over here
When: April 20-23, all day.
Where: Somewhere around the Newcomer Community Center.
Summary: Violet Systems gives Newcomer Businesses a chance to shine at a convention of their own. Exhibitors from all industries, as well as fellow newcomers looking for job opportunities are welcome! Also-- there will be a big MAN protest on Saturday.
Warnings: Nothing yet.

Visitors who stop by the great white tent that had gone up near the Newcomer Community Center will first notice a large LED sign before the entrance with a detailed list of participating exhibitors as well as activities for the day. Inside the tent, booths are arranged in rows, where everything from food businesses to the most sophisticated enterprises were on display for everyone to explore.

Get ready to come home with lots of sample products and brochures, guys.

Well... in her defense, I think she simply attended by accident and not of her own accord. [He laughs a bit.] Sometimes a man simply wants to... explore all that the world offers him, if I may say so. I've never been in a long-term relationship.

[He chuckles.]

I'm free during my consultation hours. That's how I make sure I have time for everything.

[He gives her his card that shows exactly when his consultation hours are.]

Oh! Well, yes, that does certainly sound more like her.

[Hattie laughs it off, but she still can't help but feel slightly annoyed. Honestly, what were the chances of those two meeting? She accepts the card, then her eyes light up.]

Oh goodness! Thank you very, -very- much, Mister Lee. Expect to see me again soon..

[And so she learns of his marital status. She supposes she shouldn't be surprised. She shows the man a bit of concern, rather than seeming put off.]

.. Never? Not even one?

I've tried, and it never works. It's because I work so much, and that my career is everything to me.

[He smiles, just a little sad, but still with that proud bearing of his.]

[Hattie stands there quietly for a moment. She doesn't really understand how it couldn't work. Where she's from that is practically the perfect position to be in! Well, minus being a Princess of a kingdom.

He doesn't seem happy about it; he seems to accept that it's the only way he can be happy, relationship-wise. Is it possible she could wedge in a bit?]

Forgive me for being unprofessional but.. It only hasn't worked because you haven't found the right person. Love always finds a way, even in the most trying of circumstances.

[Of all the places to find a romantic... it had to be in a business convention. Lee sighs and runs a hand through his silver locks.]

The right person... yes, perhaps that could just be the case.

[A romantic for certain, but she isn't completely oblivious; a read of his body language hints at something different from his words. She gives a small smile.]

You're just humoring me, aren't you? I apologize, it wasn't my place to be saying things like that.. To you.

No... no, not at all, Miss Hattie. I simply... I'm just not used to talking about feelings and the like.

[He laughs.]

[Hattie's cheeks redden. There's faint trace of doubt, but she gives an accepting nod all the same, coming to a slow realization.]

Oh! I.. [She gives a look around, followed by an embarrassed laugh.] I think I understand. This isn't really the most appropriate environment or time for such a topic either, is it?

[Her voice trails off, verbally dangling the carrot on the stick.]

Maybe we can talk with a little more ease over a cup of coffee or tea... dinner would also be a good idea. What say you?

Tea sounds go- [Her brows raise] Dinner? I think.. That would be wonderful! I mean, if it wouldn't interfere with your schedule..

[Oh Hattie is confident she could get him to talk. It may take some time, but she can be quite patient in her environment.]

No, I have a few free evenings. I would be more than happy to spend my free time with you. [He smiles.]

Well then, I would be honored. Ah, here..

[Hattie scribbles her number on her notepad which she hands to him, not that it's really necessary but why not! She's beaming with delight. And why shouldn't she be excited!]

Give me a call later, then?

Of course. [He beams and pockets the paper with the number.]

All right! Well, Hattie really likes seafood and is likely to hint at something like that. Hope he's not allergic. XD And she'd agree to any day offered by him.)

(OOC: That's absolutely no problem with Lee. Seafood's his favorite, too XD Lee is most likely to suggest a Friday or a weekend. But with the epidemic happening next week, maybe it's best to backdate their not!date.)
