It's Block Party time! June 7th to June 10th!
Who: Siren's Port and You!
When: June 7th to June 10th
Where: The block outside the Newcomer Community Center
Summary: It's a Block Party!
Warnings: Possible language, nothing worse then that.
The block outside the Newcomer Community Center had been bustling ever since the block party had been announced little less then a week ago. There had been much to get done, and there was little time to waste. With the cure being distributed, the NPP's stance on everything was very clear: they would find some way to put a smile back on the peoples faces. There were stalls set up next to each other, one or two each for a different company, business, or an individual who set out to be enterprising and had wares to show. Many booths were selling different foods or drinks, while others had games for people to play. Some stalls were handing out fliers, trying to promote their business. Each stall had a sign hanging from if that proclaimed what they were, and what they were selling. There was a large stage in front of the center that was for entertainment; they had all kinds of shows for the people to watch and listen to as they milled about.
Most games didn't cost much, or they were free, as long as the person understood that a small donation would be appreciated. All proceeds from the block party were going to help those who had been affected the worst by this plague; some were still in the hospital with crippling medical bills, and the NPP was determined to help those less fortunate. Security was milling about, just as a standard precaution against stealing, or some kind of protest, and each protester was given something to eat, drink, and an invitation to join in the festivities.
The block party would be happening from Thursday, June 7th, to Sunday, June 10th. It would open at 11:00 am, and close around 5:00 pm. This was to ensure that everyone has plenty of time to get their stall up and more then enough time to take the stall down before sirens. Nothing would be left outside in the darkness, but also give enough time to let people have fun. Especially those who wanted to dunk the NPP members in a big tub of water.

OOC: Everyone can make their own thread! If you are a company or a person who has rented a stall, you can make your own thread, and it will be linked on the main post. Entertainment will be taking place throughout the day, and anyone who signed up can make their own thread or comment around. All games can make their own thread as well. Alcohol is allowed for anyone of the legal drinking age (which is 17, for those unaware!), and security will make sure nothing gets out of hand. There will be protesters on the edge of the block on Friday, but there will be no violence tolerated.
All threads will be linked on the main post for easier navigation. This post will serve for the entirety of the block party, which is from Thursday to Sunday. If you want, you can put the date in the subject line, otherwise it is up to you and your threadmates to decide when things take place. All stalls are set up for everyday of the block party. Don't forget to tag yourself in.
Have a good time!

It's for the greater good, so...
No. It still sucks.
Which means that everyone should come dunk him as much as possible. He flails and goes COME ON! and looks like a drowned Jewish rat. Make him suffer. He's secretly kind of having fun.]

It never gets old.]

Here's Marco, waiting his turn. ]

At least they have one conversation under their belt that gives Chuck a normal reason to recognize him. Which is why he accordingly narrows his eyes at the kid, recognizing that shit-eating expression anywhere.]

Then he throws the ball at the trigger point. ]

... What is wrong with people? How is that fun?
Is it even meant to be fun? Perhaps that is punishment for some wrongdoing during the party. She makes her way closer, looking more and more confused.]
around 3 thursday??
He's going to kill Kurt.
It's just at the end of some smart-mouthed resident kid's turn, Chuck spluttering for the ten billionth time and climbing gracelessly back up to the seat. He gets back into the seat and only then spots her, eyebrows shooting up at her hopelessly confused expression.]
around 3 thursday is good for me!
The question is why?]

You mean 4? (Also, 6-8, late)
Prepare to get soaked Chuck. Because Magneto very much looked like a cocky Israeli brat bent on mischief.]
How you have a towel friend.
[He tossed on ball lightly and caught it, to get a feel for the weight.]
yes i meant four omg shut up 8( (also Friday)
The accent catches his attention, though. He's never seen this face on the Network, but residents don't usually have accents, except for the vague Canadian thing they all have going on.
On a hunch, he adds some bad Hebrew at the end of his next reply.]
Throw the ball already, do it.
ilu <3
As you wish.
[A smirk and one easy lop and he's dead center on target.
Hope you were ready Chuck.]

Gabriel literally saunters up to the booth, drums his fingers across the wooden boards laid across the stall and casually toys with one of the baseballs with the sort of playful curiosity of someone exploring a new area on their lover.
Except way less sexy.
More like oh God why.] Funny us meeting like this, Chuck.

Saturday around 3pm
That's when she sees The Prophet Chuck in the dunk tank. Oh, that poor bastard. So, she ducks back to her stall, grabs a couple of beers, and waits for the poor soggy Jewish man to drag himself out of the tank. When he finally does, she's standing there with a towel and an open beer.
Now, who loves you best?]
How the hell you get talked into that?
no subject
[Forget who loves Chuck best, Chuck loves her best. He lights up and promptly makes his ungraceful exit from the tank, not caring that someone else will have to take his place, and makes grabby hands at the towel.]
Oh christ- [FACETOWEL.] Thank you.

You're welcome. Figured you'd need something to drink.

Oh... well... if he really does need a bath...
She flutters towards the line, hovering in midair and peeking through her mane at the little target, the little ball she's supposed to be throwing balanced carefully between her front hooves.]
O-oh I don't know if I can....
no subject
You can do it, come on. Give me everything you got!
no subject
O-okay, if you're sure...
[And then, with all the strength she can muster she HURLS the ball towards the target-----!
..... and it just sort of rolls to a stop barely a foot in front of her.]

But I still need to kill someone for signing me up.
